I was taught to read by my grandmother in a kitchen that smelled of rosewater, long before I understood what I was holding. I was born in the spiritual mountains of Bulgaria, a landscape where folk wisdom, old songs and the turning of the seasons are still part of daily life. The women in my family read cards the way others read weather: not to impress, but to help a person understand what is already moving around them.
That inheritance travelled with me when I came to Brighton more than twenty years ago. I found a city that feels like a meeting place — the sea on one side, the South Downs on the other, and people from every walk of life passing through. It is no surprise that Brighton became the place where I would eventually open my own tarot reading room. The energy here is open, curious and unafraid of depth.
For well over a decade I have been the tarot reader Brighton people quietly recommend — in front rooms, in festival tents, at kitchen tables, and now in a small candlelit room of my own near the centre of the city. My clients come from Brighton, Hove, Shoreham, Worthing, Lancing, Chichester and many small towns across East and West Sussex. Some have been coming for years; others arrive with a single pressing question and leave with the beginnings of a plan.
My work is not prediction for its own sake. It is clarity. The cards show the shape of what you are already living, and together we name it. People come to me tangled and leave able to breathe, with one clear next step. Whether you are navigating a relationship, a career crossroads, a creative block, grief or a quiet, persistent sense that something needs to change, the tarot gives us a language for it.
Everything said at my table stays at my table. I read for people of every faith and none, and I will never tell you something to frighten you into returning. A tarot reading with me is a conversation — honest, respectful and gently held — between your own inner knowing and the story the cards reveal.
